I Woke Up To ...

Last night I woke up to your scent!

I dream of smells of the places I have once passed
Of people I have once known
Of that jasmine shrub
That grew so big, it boiled over the garden wall

I dream of you, my brother and dad
I dream of the dusty ruins near my childhood
I dream of your hands
Close to my face
The scent of Jasmine crashing into my mind

Last night!
It was you again
wasn't it!

Beautiful! How sweet and poignant Roja Jan. I loved it. Happy New Year to you and Hossein. I do miss you very much my lovely friend. I wish you would come to live near me in 2008.

You are simply Fabulous! I read through a number of your recent entries and I must conclude that although I already knew you were fabulous I did not realize how much I was missing out by not visiting your blog daily, so that is going to be a new year's resolution for me (and believe me I don't make more than 2 or 3 in other words, more than what I can keep!) My new year's resolution is to visit your blog daily because it is refreshingly DIFFERENT than anything I have seen up to now and is truly like a breathe of fresh air!!! Keep up the great work.... You rock Ms. Roja! Happy 2008!!!

Dear Tameshk

Happy new year , hope all is well , there is just one thing that I'd like to say , you have lack of straight comment as an graduated in Art . You always talk positive about everything , I am afraid you need a critical view as an artist not a row comment and happy , sweet like Everybody who watch , read or anything just for fun and , your Ideas are so pop as a newyorker

Dear Abrisham

I am more than ever grateful that you left your comment;

Unfortunately (for me of course) I totally agree with you on the lack of critical views on Tameshk. I am sure I can give you bunch of reasons or make many excuses for this lack, but since in the essence I agree with you I will make an effort in order to make Tameshk more spicy!

Well, of course for the posts like this one which are semi-poetic I am not so keen to provoke any obvious critical view.

Hope to hear from you more,

Regards,
Tameshk,

Somehow I liked this poem due to its nostalgic feeling.
Generally we know nostalgia as to feel missing people, places … that we had known once, but I wonder if sometimes a nostalgic feeling occurs when you have a desire for someone or s.th unknown, because of its mystery; the secrets could be more impressive than the reality. Surely loving known subjects are more sensible, but sometimes it seems there is nothing loveable or simply you can’t make your life impressive or even peaceful enough, so you rather to have your dreams. I express these because I had such experience previously.
Of course it isn’t an unknown which you were dreaming in this poem because as you mentioned, you were dreaming of your dad & brother and your childhood but still they are dreams! & still it sounds sort of mysterious to me. However it might don’t mean like this for you. You are the creator & I am just a reader

So sincerely I wish you so peaceful, tireless & active life
