I cannot bring myself to tell, “These emails bother me,” that “they remind me of my laziness, my passiveness,” that “they only make me hate my current state more than I already do,” I think I will never tell these; at least in the way I like.
Maybe I should know by now that these short emails, with one or two links: mostly art related, sometimes about Iran and sometimes funny, really mean “hey, I was thinking of you!” but I am not sure they mean that.
The aftermath does not concern anyone but me. My days become short, remote and pale.

Salam Tameshk Jan. I receive more than 200 emails on 4 different email accounts each week. In fact the ones with the one-liner link or the mass-mailed novelty are not bad at all. They do make me believe that someone is thinking about me, without any expectation from me to write or to even acknowledge receipt of that thought! Very liberating if you ask me! The work emails are OK, too, I suppose, as I get paid to answer them. The emails from my friends and family are the ones I feel super guilty about, as each of them contain a message of love and understanding and compassion, reaching out to me, and I seldom have enough time to reply to every one of them in the way they deserve, with love, understanding, and compassion. I do reply hastily sometims, feeling really bad about it. If I don' reply to them this week, soon they will be buried uner the next and next 200 messages, making things worse. I believe that when people used real mail (snail mail) to send paper letters, the frequency and quality of those letters were better, following a more sane pace. I might be wrong, but this pace really overwhelms me sometimes. Be good Tameshk Jan.

Thanks for your comment. That's right: E-mails containing links usually don't demand any personal reply. They are just coming without any particular connection to anyone. although we all know who has sent them.
(here I do not mean Forwarded e-mails which I directly delete.)

Thank you for writing again! I visited Black and White weekly to see if you have new posts and I was more than happy to see that your pen is in motion again.
