The Kitchen Is Quiet!

The Kitchen is quiet.
The kettle is not belly dancing.
The order is a lost sense, here!

The kitchen is quiet.
The light bulb has gone cold.
There is no glory in the forced harmony of the three little blue plates above the sink!

The kitchen is quiet.
The cardamom jar is scentless.
The walls have grown, since you left!

سلام دوست من
ساده و زیباست.واقعاً آشپزخانه شماست؟ ردیف بالا سمت چپ نماد چیست؟ جایی آنرا دیده ام قبلاً.
اجاقتان همیشه گرم باد.

Dearest Daisy,
I hope you come visit this chateau soon, then I am sure it will be filled with a happy ray and loving aroma.

F. azizam,
Thanks for your kind words, I am glad you like them.

بله اینجا اشپزخانه دژ نخودی منه. به نظرم یک سمبل تلفیقی است از ایین-یانگ چینی و بته جقه ایرانی که مادر از فروشگاه صنایع دستی برایم فرستاده

Dear Roja,
As always, I love your taste. It is simply beautiful.
That is why when I accidentally noticed your blog years ago, I kept visiting it ever since.
I loved your short writings on the movies a lot. In fact, for me the pleasure of reading your posts has several layers. I have also lived in NY, got my MA in Cinema Studies from CUNY, and moved to Houston around the time you moved to Austin. But I moved back to NY again, just this past weekend. I have been to Austin a hundred times, not recently though, years ago. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful place in TX for living. Keep writing. I will come to visit soon again.

Zari Jaan,

Thanks a lot for your comment. It is very encouraging. It makes me so happy to hear someone knowledgeable and trained in Cinema likes my film reviews. It will be a great opportunity for me to meet you when you come back for a visit or if I get to come to the big apple.

Let's keep in touch.
